Eventhough it's still rainy and chilly, early spring is one of my most favorite times of the year. Why? Because of the sheer joy I feel when I notice all the trees and flowers slowly - then suddenly - bursting forth with baby leaves and flowers!
An enjoyable but super simple way to tune into the magic of Spring is to Bring Spring In!
Bring in cuttings of indian plum, quince, forsythia or fruit trees and put them in water. The warmth of indoors will cause them to open and bloom rapidly - watch the magic unfurl before your eyes! You can also treat yourself to some fragrant hyacinths or daffodils for indoors then plant them outside after they're spent. They will sprout up outside next year and make you happy all over again! Yay!
